9/12 CSA Bounty from the fields of Pennsylvania!

Hi Everyone – Adam here. I haven’t died nor have I abandoned the blog completely. I’ve just started grad school and that makes being a regular poster here a little bit harder. I thought I’d take a break from Microeconomics to share some pictures of the bounty that arrived today from the CSA we joined here in Washington. For more details follow below the fold.

So, the CSA we went with is Orchard County Produce¬†from Gardners, PA and we went with them because, privilege of privileges, they deliver directly to our building. We’re doing a half share and this week’s produce menu includes:

  • 1 x Bright Green Watermelon
  • 1 x Ripe Cantaloupe
  • 5 x Honey Crisp apples
  • 1 x Pint of Cherry tomatoes
  • 13 x approx. 75g Potatoes
  • 1 x Pint Mexican gherkins
  • 1 x Sweet Candy Onions

Any suggestions for what to do with a pint of Mexican gherkins and a pint of cherry tomatoes? Looking for something hot…
